I visited Heather’s blog here for an image prompt. The results are below!
The arbor wasn’t quiet an arbor yet. The vine plants were meant to cover the top. Barely filled in on the sides. Hephesta was a plant mage, not in all honestly a particularly good one, her parents said she was a late bloomer, but it seemed to her that there was something wrong with the viney plants. They didn’t seem to want to vine. Something in the soil was keeping them from doing what they were born to do.
She raised her hand to interrupt the lecturer who was going on and on about the historical significants of the site. But the lecturer ignored her. Hephesta was certain she was ignored and not simply overlooked because the lecturer looked right at her and continued on in her droning voice.
Soon the tour moved on and they wandered all over the estate. They looked at flower gardens, which Hephesta quite enjoyed. Finally, they were looking at another site of historical significance but Hephesta barely noticed it. In the opposite direction was beautiful green rolling hills. Just before the hills started rolling there was a fenced-in field it must have been further away than it seemed because the animals in the field were just fuzzy dots. What were the animals she wondered. Maybe sheep, they sure did look fuzzy. She realized she could no longer hear the droning of their lecturer/tour guide. She turned around and found that she was completely alone.
